According to Emily Kampsen Bailey, Maria Agnes entered the US in 1928.

      3            ii.   Ferdinand Heinrich Glandorf, born Nov 16, 1872 in Darlinghausen, Damme, Oldenburg, Germany; died Nov 22, 1948 in Hilkenbrock, Emsland; Stepchild.  He married Anna Marie Prues May 01, 1900.

 

Notes for Ferdinand Heinrich Glandorf:

He worked in farming and also managed a Küsteramt. . Then he took over in Hilkenbrook, Emsland, a settler body, which his descendants still manage.

 

      4           iii.   Franz Glandorf, born Sep 01, 1877 in Darlinghausen, Damme, Oldenburg, Germany; died Sep 15, 1963 in Germany - Lower Saxony - Vechta - Lohne (Oldenburg).  He married Anna Stella Wilbenbrink.

 

      5           iv.   Joseph Glandorf, born Sep 12, 1883 in Darlinghausen, Damme, Oldenburg, Germany; died Dec 09, 1958 in Germany - Lower Saxony - Vechta - Osterfeine (Oldenburg).  He married Karoline Hillman 1911.

 

Notes for Joseph Glandorf:

Joseph was immediately drafted at the outbreak of WW I and went to fight on August 3, 1914 but soon was taken prisoner by French during heavy fighting and imprisoned, which he passed partly in Morocco. He only returned on March 5, 1920; his son had turned 5 years old in the meantime without having known his father.

 

      6            v.   Agnes Glandorf, born Dec 31, 1887 in Darlinghausen, Damme, Oldenburg, Germany; died Feb 1972 in IL - Sangamon County - Springfield.

 

Notes for Agnes Glandorf:

Agnes was in the Order of the Franciscans from Mauritz near Munster and went to the USA very

shortly after her entry into the order. She is buried by the American motherhouse of the

Franciscans in Springfield, Illinois.

Anna was a housekeeper for many years of a wealthy Deanin the Rhine Land. The large house of

the deceased Dean in Bad Godesberg was bequethed to her as a lifelong residence. She was not

married.

 

      8           vii.   Elizabeth Glandorf, born May 22, 1893 in Darlinghausen, Damme, Oldenburg, Germany; died Dec 15, 1985 in MI - Wayne County - Detroit.  She married (1) Heinrick Wilberding May 07, 1913 in Ruschendorf, Damme, Oldenburg, Germany; born Jan 01, 1883 in Ruschendorf, Damme, Oldenburg, Germany; died Feb 1922 in Germany.  She married (2) Herman Wilberding Jun 19, 1928 in St. Victor Catholic Church, Damme, Oldenberg, Germany; born Jan 31, 1884 in Ruschendorf, Damme, Oldenburg, Germany; died Jun 25, 1967 in MI - Isabella County - Mt. Pleasant.

      9          viii.   Martin Glandorf, born Jul 03, 1896 in Darlinghausen, Damme, Oldenburg, Germany; died Jan 20, 1944 in Logensteilen.  He married Maria Theresia Fischer Oct 25, 1920; died Jan 24, 1972.

 

Notes for Martin Glandorf:

Martin was drafted into the Military Service in WW I and was captured by the English and imprisoned, from which he returned in 1919. After his return he founded a carpenter business but he died at the young age of 48 from the consequences of a war injury.
